Services We Provide

PREVENTATIVE CARE

To help maintain your horse’s health, we offer a variety of services that can be tailored to the individual horse. These include immunizations, dentistry, parasite control, nutritional consultation, lameness evaluation, and the treatment of any other medical conditions or injuries. A leading ambulatory Wisconsin Equine clinic, we offer comprehensive preventative care customized for our patients.

24 HOUR EMERGENCY VETERINARY CARE

We have a veterinarian on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week for emergencies. Once arriving at your farm, we will assess the situation and treat your horse accordingly. Each veterinary truck is equipped with portable digital radiograph machines, ultrasound units, and the necessary supplies to treat most injuries and ailments. We are an emergency veterinary clinic on wheels.

Our veterinarians have years of experience dealing with emergencies, including large animal technical rescue. If your horse requires hospitalization services, we can refer you to the best hospital or clinic that will be able to care for your equine partner.

Lameness & SPORTS MEDICINE

We typically use several tools to help us get a clear picture of your horse’s health. Along with a complete examination, we may use diagnostic nerve blocks, digital radiographs, ultrasound, and/or endoscopy. After evaluating your horse and taking into consideration your performance goals, we will determine the best therapy for your horse. Some options include systemic therapies, joint injections, and regenerative therapies such as shockwave therapy and platelet rich plasma (PRP) treatment. If your horse needs a surgical procedure, we will refer you to the best hospital or specialist for your horse’s needs.

VETERINARY SPINAL MANIPULATIVE THERAPY

Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy (VSMT), the veterinary equivalent of human chiropractic care, involves skilled motion palpation to detect hypomobile regions in the body. These hypomobilities can result from a variety of causes including muscle spasms, scarring, or masses. This can potentially lead to pain, decreased performance, and compromised health. VSMT also involves careful assessment of the nervous system and its function.

IMAGING - ULTRASOUND

Ultrasounds are used when evaluating your horse’s soft tissues, like internal organs. Illness often leads to damage to these structures which can be visualized using imaging. Digital radiographs give us high quality images of joints, bones, and soft tissue, such as the chest and abdomen. With digital radiographs, the images are available immediately so diagnosis and treatment can often be accomplished in one visit.

Equine Gastroscopy

A Gastroscopy Exam is a tool that allows us to perform a visual inspection of the various parts of the stomach.

Using the gastroscope to visualize the horse's stomach, we can observe the location and severity of stomach ulcers, that may be present. Gastroscopy allows us to make an accurate diagnosis and develop an appropriate treatment plan for your horse.
